I cannot believe today is the last day of February. Seriously, where has the month gone?

Modern Interiors
I love me some interiors, hence the many many design boards. But at the moment I'm all about bathrooms. Our bathroom at home definitely needs some TLC so I'm gathering some inspo for that.
I would sell an arm and a leg for tis shower. Seriously, so gorgeous!

This week has been busy as usual and I am 10000% ready for the weekend. I plan to sleep in, eat pancakes and go the beach. Ah I'am excited just thinking about it! Before the weekend begins though, lets take a peek at my Friday Favourites!

Both my mumma and I celebrated our birthdays this week. From the 20th of Feb through to the 25th is a constant state of celebration in our house. And although I didn't get to spend my day with this lovely lady I know she would have had a cocktail for me. Love you mum and Happy Birthday!

Speaking of birthdays. How stunning is this flower arrangement I received for my birthday? I was actually speechless when they arrived. A rare occurrence I know! Thank you to my family and friends who sent me their love via these flowers and a HUGE thank you to FlowerShop.ua for this insane arrangement.

I think I may have discovered Bath and Bodyworks' best candle yet! Thats right people, forget every fragrance preference you have. Because this candle is seriously amazing! What we're eating this week!
As I have mentioned over the last few weeks, I have been super lazy in the kitchen lately. My new kitchen here in Abu Dhabi is less than a dream but thats no excuse and I really need to get my hiney into gear. This week I will be making one of my favourite go-to weekday meals. What I'm Reminiscing about.
My beautiful birthday/ farewell party, which my parents hosted. We drank, laughed, cried during speeches and had a fantastic time. I know I will remember this party for a very very long time!
What I'm Loving.
The amazing Middle East weather. It is technically winter here, although it is about 25 Celsius during the day! Around May it will heat up and by June you can forget about walking around out side. So I am soaking up this lovely 'winter' weather with beach trips and long walks on the weekends.
What We've been up to.
Work, work work and more work! Not very exciting I know but thats life at the moment. When I'm not working you can find me exploring my impressive new city or laying by the beach. And on rare occasions doing a tiny bit of shopping ;)
What I'm dreading.
The dentist, Gah!!! Raise your hand if you hate visiting the Dentist! I have a seriously irrational fear of the dentist, always have and probably always will. But I have finally found a new practise that manages to keep me remotely calm during my visits. (I think I am distracted by my handsome dentists very nice Irish accent ;) #whateverworks Regardless I really do not want to go back to the den of torture dentist next month!
What I'm working on.
I write this little blog called 'Life of Lou', you may have herd about it ;) At the moment I'm working on a few new ideas for the blog and as always hunting down new and exciting things to share with you lovely folk!
What I'm excited about!
My gorgeous Mumma paying me a visit, next month! Which I'm soon excited about! My family and I have always been close so being scattered all over the world at the moment is tough. Ps it happens to be my mums birthday today, so lets show her some Birthday love! Happy Birthday Mumma!
What I'm watching.
Um I think I'm hooked! I have watch the first three episodes of American Crime Story, The People VS. O.J Simpson and I cannot stop. This show is seriously gripping and definitely exposing a new side to this highly publicised story. If you aren't already watching this, you need to get into it ASAP!
What I'm listening to.
Perhaps my favourite song ever! Blood by the Middle East, is a song that can make me cry, laugh and change my entire mood, all in 5 minutes and 30 seconds. The bands name is also rather fitting don't you think? Check it out here!

What I'm doing this weekend!
This is where you will find me this weekend! By the beach, soaking up these last few weeks of bearable weather! The water is still a little cool for a swim but the Corniche (the local strip of beach)is a great place for a run, bike ride or place to chill out and read a book!
What I'm looking forward to next month!
I can't wait to play tour guide for a few friends and family members who will be heading to the Middle East for a visit next month. I am falling hard for my new city and know that they will love exploring Abu Dhabi every bit as much as I do!

I hope your week is off to a good start. As I mentioned last week I have been very slack with my cooking lately. Thus I have also been slack with my recipe posts. How cute are these Foxy cookies? Such a great idea to use a heart shape cookie cutter and then ice on little faces and messages. I will definitely be making these when I am back in my own kitchen. You can find the recipe here!

I have been very slack recently in the weekly-wrap up department. But in my defence the last month has been absolutely CRAZY! Between moving to the Middle East, starting a new job, celebrating my birthday and exploring my new city. I haven't had a whole lot of time for a a lengthy catchup. But I am getting organised and sharing my life lately. So here we go!
Between working, settling in, trying (desperately to commit to my new gym) and shopping now and then ;) I have been trying to explores much of my new city as possible!
Including the Emirates towers, an architectural icon.
Emirates Palace, which boats 114 domes, 1.3km of private beachfront and 394 guest rooms. It took 5 years and a whopping 3 billion USD to build!
When I'm not playing tourist you can usually find me by the beach!
Yes, this is actually the beach! And it is only 5 minutes from my house! Pretty Amazing right?
I also managed to squeeze in a quick get away to Dubai. Whilst my friend and I where there we ventured to the desert for camel riding, belly dancing and all things Middle East. You can read my post on that here!
A few weeks ago we celebrated Chinese New Year and all the malls have been decorated to perfection! Just look at this amazing installation at The Galleria !
And speaking of malls. I have to say the shopping here is perhaps the best I have ever experienced. Not only is the variety of brands amazing but the prices are great and the shops are open until midnight, EVERY night! See dreams really do come true!
