Whats Up Wednesday!

Morning Everyone!

Today I'm sharing my What's up Wednesday! Technically I'm a week late to the party but I was away last Wednesday and I always find these post so much fun to read, so why not! Here is a little insight into life lately!

What we're eating this week

This weeks recipe will have all the sweet tooth's begging for more. Be sure to check in here tomorrow for the recipe to Banoffee pie slice!

What I'm reminiscing about

My wonderful girls trip to Sydney last week!

What I'm loving

Having all the Christmas decorations up and looking gorgeous! I shared a few of our family decorations last week, if you missed that post you can see it here.

What we've been up to

Enjoying the gorgeous Summer weather with beach trips, golf games, afternoon swims, hikes and much more!

What I'm dreading

A trip to the dentist tomorrow. I hate the dentist, the smell, the sound, the whole experience! Gah!

What I'm working on

My Christmas shopping. Just when I think I'm getting on top of the list I remember someone! This certainly isn't the reason or most important part of the season but it sure is time consuming 😫

What I'm excited about

Celebrating the Christmas season with all my friends and family over the next few weeks! Including these special ladies :)

What I'm watching/ reading

I have just finished The Fall, like yesterday. Oh my goodness! So darn good #thankyounetflix

Now my addiction to The Fall has ended, my spare time is being spent reading this sweet book!

What I'm listening to

Is there anything else one would listen to in November / December?!?

What I'm wearing

Yesterday I shared a few recent outfits I have worn and loved. If you missed the post you can catch it here.

What I'm doing this weekend

Heading to the beach with girlfriends to enjoy this perfect Summer weather!

What I'm looking forward to next month

My baby sister returning home for Christmas! Having my whole family together for the holiday season is definitely something I'm looking forward to!

What else is new

Not a whole lot. End of year chaos, christmas shopping and planing, work and a whole lot of bad christmas singing ;)

Have a wonderful day my friends!

Sydney Getaway

Happy Monday Friends!

I'm back from my mini getaway and ready to dive into another busy week. A little break with friends was well overdue and Sydney never disappoints. I say it all the time but I'am so very lucky to live in this beautiful country 😊

Today I'm sharing  a few of my favourite places to shop, eat and see when visiting Sydney. Enjoy!

Shop

The Strand Arcade

*Which looks particularly beautiful this time of year!

Queen Victoria Building

CBD Westfield

Burnt Orange - Mosman

The many many gift stores and florists on Queen Street, Woolahra

Eat

Charlie Burger Co.

Hacienda

The Opera Bar

Ripples - Milsons Point

Luxe - Woollahra

The Boat Shed - Balmoral Beach

Hugos - Manly Ferry Terminal

*With amazing cocktails, great view and even better company :)

See

Apart from all the main tourist spots i.e. the Harbour bridge, Royal Botanic Gardens etc.

Balmoral Beach is at the top of my to-do list every time I visit. Just 30 minutes from the city centre this beach is a hidden gem, with amazing food and beautiful atmosphere.

If you are headed to this gorgeous city I can highly recommend all these spots. If you are considering a holiday to Oz I can't adequately put into words the beauty, culture, food, history and landscape this country has to offer!

Have a wonderful day friends!

Pinterest Finds!

Morning Friends!

This week is going to be a big one. I spent yesterday getting my holiday prep on, with one humongous grocery shop, some menu planning and even shared a few of our Christmas decorations from this year. (If you missed it you can see that post here. )

Today I will grabbing some last minute items for my girls getaway and starting some Christmas shopping.

Then tomorrow I'm off to spend some quality time with friends out of state! Before dashing home to catchup on brand NEW Gilmore Girls this weekend!

But before I get to all of that, I sharing a few of my recent favourite Pinterest finds.

Christmas Decorations!

Morning Friends!

I hope you all enjoyed your weekends! Last week we bit the bullet and put up all our Christmas decorations. I know it is only November but we put them up early every year. We do this for two reasons A) hauling them all out of storage and putting them up is a pain in the butt and usually takes a whole afternoon, so we have to get in early before we are busy with holiday plans B) They are all so pretty, expensive joyful why not have them on display for an extra few weeks!

Today I thought I would share just a few of my favourite Christmas bits and pieces that we have around our house this year!

Pottery barn Christmas Cushions. You can see this years stock here!

Ceramic reindeer found here.

Handmade fabric nativity set purchased from a charity in Vietnam last Christmas.

Christmas Bedding. (A mixture from various stores, but this year I found these sweet pillowcases, here. )

One of our two Christmas trees this year! Filled with decorations collected throughout the years.

So there you have it, just a few of my favourite decorations you can find in our house this Christmas. Have a wonderful day friends!

Friday Favourites

Happy Friday Friends!

This week has been quite, hot and filled with Christmas prep. Our decorations are officially up and the celebrating has begun. I will share some photos next week but before that, lets take a look at my Friday favourites!

One

Every year we add a little something to our Christmas decoration collection. This year I found these sweet little reindeers. Simple, timeless and cheap as chips, ah yeah I'll take three! You can find them online here.

Two

Pool toys are a must in this house! With the insane heat here + the mass entertaining we do this time of year, having some outdoor fun is key. This year we are going fruity with these fun Watermelon Rings. Check out Sunnylife's full range of summer gear here.

Three

Y'all I'm so obsessed with The Fall I can't even talk about it! If you are looking for something to binge watch this weekend look no further. #thankyounetflix

Four

Yesterday I shared a Gingerbread Syrup recipe. This is the perfect homemade christmas gift or easy dessert! If you missed it you can find it here.

Five

Have a great weekend everyone!

Gingerbread Syrup

It's nearly that time of year again!

If you are like me you are desperately trying to get a jump start on the christmas shopping and planning. During my research / planning this week I came across this recipe which is not only perfect for your own holiday celebrations but makes a super sweet gift as well.  Best Part you only need 3 ingredients and it takes 5 minutes to prepare!

You Will Need

300g golden caster sugar
1 tbsp ground ginger
1 cinnamon stick
Edible gold glitter (pinch)

Method
Put the golden caster sugar, 200ml water and ground ginger into a saucepan.

Add the cinnamon stick and bring to a gentle boil.

Simmer for 5 mins until the sugar has dissolved, then stir in a little edible gold glitter.

Pour into a 500ml sterilised bottle.

*To decorate, tie a cinnamon stick around the neck with a pretty ribbon. Sauce will keep for up to 1 year.

Enjoy!
